SCANNING EQUIPMENT WORTH 70 MILLION TENGE WAS TRIED TO BE SMUGGLED INTO KAZAKHSTAN
At the checkpoint "Kalzhat" customs post "Altynkol" employees of the Situation Center of the SRC MF RK in the framework of remote monitoring based on the analysis of images of inspection complexes and customs inspection revealed undeclared goods, including 3 x-ray apparatus for inspection of brand "BERG 6040".
The total customs value of undeclared goods amounted to 179.7 thousand US dollars or 69.7 million tenge, the total amount due for payment of customs duties and taxes amounted to 15.2 million tenge.
Work on transfer of materials to Department of economic investigations of Almaty region for adoption of the procedural decision is conducted by SRD of Almaty region.
The press service of the state revenue Committee reported that the personnel of the Situation Center is focused on identifying non-conforming shipping documents of goods under customs control by analyzing the images of inspection complexes and conducting in-depth analytical work.
The work of operators and analysts of the Center on detection, prevention and suppression of crimes and administrative offenses in the field of customs has been intensified.
The analysis of the customs declaration of goods transported from the countries of the risk group, in respect of which remote monitoring of the inspection complexes images reveals suspicions of violation of customs legislation.
In the future, the Center will increase its potential as a Situational analytical Center with a mode of operation on the principle of "24/7" in relation to objects and entities controlled by the state revenue authorities, with the use of complex tax and customs risks, as well as their further analysis and control.
