
Within the framework of the 3rd High-level Forum on international cooperation of the «One Belt, One Road» initiative in Beijing, The People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhandos Duisembiev took part in the thematic forum on uninterrupted trade.
The main organizers were the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, the Main Customs Administration of the PRC, the State Tax Administration of the PRC and the Exim bank of China.
The participants of the Uninterrupted Trade Forum discussed maintaining the stability of global industrial and supply chains, promoting e-commerce and green trade, as well as strengthening customs, tax and financial cooperation.
During the visit, Zhandos Duisembiev held a meeting with Commissioner of the State Taxation Administration of the PRC Wang Jun at which the parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, as well as partnership within the framework of the «One Belt, One Road» initiative.
The Chairman of the SRC MF RK also took part in the meeting of the Heads of Customs Services of the Central Asia – China initiative.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of customs cooperation, in particular, the parties agreed: to conclude an Agreement on cooperation within the framework of the «Single Window» project, on cooperation in the management of border checkpoints, on the creation of working groups to exchange experience in the field of: non-intrusive inspection and intelligent cartographic inspection, customs risk management, improving mechanisms cooperation in the law enforcement sphere.
At the same time, the Central Asian countries were invited to consider the possibility of the Chinese side concluding an Agreement on cooperation in the exchange of preliminary information on goods aimed at improving measures to facilitate trade and increase the security of the international supply chain of goods.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to jointly resolve the issue and develop a draft Agreement taking into account the legislation of each party.
On the sidelines of the meeting «Central Asia – China», Zhandos Duisembiev held a conversation with the Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the PRC Yu Jianhua, where the parties discussed the issue of increasing the capacity at the Kazakh-Chinese state border and agreed in the near future to create a working mechanism for the prompt resolution of emerging problematic issues.
