Currently, at the "Nur Zholy» checkpoint, located on the Kazakh-Chinese border, there is a congestion of vehicles on the exit from the Republic of Kazakhstan to China.
This accumulation is associated with increased sanitary measures on the Chinese side. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese side received about 150 vehicles a day, and since the beginning of the pandemic, about 20 vehicles a day have been moved.
To solve this problem, a number of negotiations have been held with the Chinese side, thanks to which the Chinese side currently accepts about 80 vehicles a day.
In addition, the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan from June 10 this year on the Kazakh-Chinese border opened checkpoints "Kolzhat", " Bakhty "and" maykapchagai", which were previously closed due to the deterioration of the epidemiological situation. This will reduce the congestion of vehicles at the Nur Zholy checkpoint.
It should be noted that at the Nur Zholy checkpoint, a "green corridor" has been created for vehicles transporting domestic products for export to China, and such vehicles are allowed to pass out of turn.
Work with the Chinese side to increase the capacity of checkpoints continues.
At the same time, today there are facts of entry of empty transport to China and return back also empty because of the lack of contracts for transportation.
This movement creates an additional congestion of transport at the border.
In this regard, we draw the attention of transport companies to the need for timely conclusion of contracts with senders or recipients of goods for the transportation of goods from China.
