As part of the working visit of the delegation of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the PRC, on June 12, 2023, in Beijing, the Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Slyamov met with the Chairman of the Board of Nuctech Company Limited Chen Zhiqiang.

      The parties discussed the ongoing joint work on the implementation of a project for the modernization and technical re-equipment of checkpoints located on the Kazakhstan section of the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Main Dispatch Office in Astana.

      Chen Zhiqiang assured that despite the negative impact of the pandemic on the implementation of the project, the company will make every effort to fulfill all obligations in a quality and timely manner.

       B. Slyamov informed about the medium-term plans of the Kazakh side to modernize additional checkpoints and expressed hope for further effective cooperation with Nuctech Company Limited.

       Following the talks, the heads of delegations noted the importance of the infrastructure project and expressed confidence that the modernization of checkpoints would contribute to effective state control at the border and increase throughput.

       Also, during the visit, it is planned to meet with the leadership of China EximBank and Yanshan Sea Freight Port.
