On the basis of the Training-Methodical Center of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia BOMCA10 organized a National workshop: "On the implementation of e-learning methodology and the use of e-learning platform by border and customs authorities of Central Asia states and the development of e-learning modules", where employees of the Training-Methodical Center of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (TMC SRC MF RK), employees of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (BS NSC RK), employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan responsible for the development of methodology and teaching materials in the fields, such as e-learning, distance learning, etc. took part.

International experts of the BOMCA 10 program made presentations - Lieutenant Colonel Martins Spridzans, PhD, Associate Professor of the State Border Guard College (Latvia), Lieutenant Colonel Jānis Pavlovičs, Lecturer of the State Border Guard College (Latvia). The experts provided guidance on the development of modules/courses and practical training on the use of the e-learning platform. 

The aim of the workshop is to assist national experts of border agencies of Kazakhstan in developing specific e-learning courses based on best practices of EU Member States on the implementation of e-learning systems and practical training on the use of e-learning platform and preparation of e-learning modules and courses, as well as to provide guidance on the development of e-learning modules and courses in educational institutions of border agencies of Kazakhstan.

The deputy head of the TMC SRC MF RK, Kasymkulova Lazzat Turdakynovna, noted that the Moodle platform was introduced in the TMC in 2012 and for more than 10 years, employees of state revenue agencies have been improving their skills. It was also noted that the Moodle platform plays a crucial role in matters of professionalism of employees located both at the border, as well as for employees of the State Revenue Departments, while remaining in employment and performing customs control.

One of the actual topics of the workshop, which is of practical importance in the implementation of staff development is border control, the topic - "electronic training", which was accompanied by the disclosure of the full cycle of development, production of components, design elements.

Participants were presented with theoretical and practical skills in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of specific e-learning courses.

2 – employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

13 – employees of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
