Undeclared funds tried to take out of Kazakhstan

At the customs post "Nur Zholy" of SRD of Almaty region, located on the international highway "Western Europe - Western China", revealed the facts of illegal movement of currency across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.

So, 04.09.2019 of year employees of the customs post "Nur Zholy" during the customs control together with the border guards at the administrative hall of the departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the People's Republic of China, was detained the citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan A., born in 1978, while trying to transfer money in the amount of 10 203 USD.

29.08.2019 year the citizen of the People's Republic of China B., born in 1971, was detained with 90 603 yuan and 3000 tenge.

27.08.2019 year the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, resident of Shymkent, born in 1992, was detained while attempting to carry 10 000 US dollars and 119 200 tenge.

These facts were revealed with the use of a service dog named "Lassie".

In the actions of these citizens are seen signs of an administrative offense under part 3 of article 551 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on administrative offenses. These individuals have been brought to administrative responsibility.

We remind you that according to subparagraph 7 of paragraph 1 of article 343 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 26 December 2017 No. 123-VI LRK "On customs regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan" cash and (or) traveler's checks are subject to customs Declaration if the total amount of such cash and (or) traveler's checks at their one-time import to the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union or one-time export from the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union exceeds the amount equivalent to ten thousand us dollars at the exchange rate, to the passenger customs Declaration effective on the date of submission to the customs authority.

IMPORTANT! When crossing the border of Kazakhstan by any means of transport (land, air), it is necessary to declare funds if the amount per 1 person exceeds the equivalent of US $10,000. At the same time, it should be noted that the declared amount is not subject to taxes and customs duties.
